I think I mentioned this the other day, but the girls have been taking soccer on Saturday mornings. The class is only 30 minutes, and like a sit-com there are a lot of breaks to get through that half hour. Personally, I think they like the idea of soccer more than the playing of soccer, but it’s fun to watch and it gets them out and about pretty early. The other nice thing is that it’s only about five minutes from the house, so we can leave at pretty much any time and not have a problem getting there.
Like most women, Sofi and Natalie seem to enjoy the fact that they have special shoes that are just for soccer. They’re white and black tennis shoes for Natalie (couldn’t find cleats that small) and a small pair of black and white cleats for Sofi. Not that either of them is needing cleats - they’re barely running - they just like that they have special shoes. The activity is pretty much just a group of children running from one flag to another. Sometimes just running and other times just “dribbling” (said with a lot of creative license) the ball from flag to flag. For the most part, though, they have a heck of a lot of fun!
