There’s something special about getting an E-Vite that mentions a first birthday party, friends, and cupcakes. Especially one that mentions cupcakes! Today was the celebration of our friend Theo turning one (actual birthday November 1), and we took the trip up to his house in the Berkeley hills after stopping in at Boo at the Zoo. I’m very glad that we got to go - the friends, the food and the cupcakes were all very good. As you can see above, Theo is growing up and looks quite thrilled to be having such great company in his honor.
Reiley (hopefully I spelled that correctly) is Theo’s dog and about the most patient animal that I’ve ever met. His disposition is wonderful and he tolerated the girls following him around and talking about him almost the entire time that we were there. It’s amazing that even with all that following and two somewhat messy children, he didn’t score all that much food. I do think he got some cupcake, though, so it probably all panned out for him in the end. In the next picture, Mama seemed to be having a somewhat relaxing afternoon and even though it was somewhat hectic watching the children run, play, and rock on the “three-child-rocking-chair” I know we both had a great time.
In case I did’t mention it enough before - the cupcakes were really good, too. I know that David said that they ordered them from somewhere, and while I have already forgotten where, the style, variety and flavor of the cupcakes was outstanding. I had an Oreo topped cupcake, mama had a red velvet type, and both the girls enjoyed strawberry. All of them were very, very good and I’m really glad that we got a chance to try so many (the girls share pretty well, all things considered.)
