Posting on Monday is always a mixed blessing. I love reliving the weekend, but also realize that it will be five long days before I get two uninterrupted days with my children. Sure, I see them every night, but there is something special waking up with them and getting to see their bright and shiny faces all day. After weekends like this, I miss them all the more - what a wonderful weekend!
With the holidays approaching it seems that every city and town is bringing in their own bit of cheer and this weekend was no exception. On Saturday we went to Livermore, which is a smaller, older town in the East Bay. Livermore is going through a town revitalization, but the community is still holding on to that old-town style. This season they had a parade, horse-drawn carriages, and a wonderful holiday parade.
This was really the girl’s first true parade, and they loved the experience. We had a unique spot inside our companies’ Livermore office so we were able to sit comfortably and warmly while checking out the sites. The girls saw everything and enjoyed every minute of it! Unfortunately, I was enjoying them so much I didn’t take any pictures.
On Sunday morning we got up and planted flowers in the front-yard. The girls were a wonderful help and seemed to enjoy every minute of their time in the front yard. After that it was off to Old Navy for new jackets - they seem to like them, too, and in the next post you’ll see them in Campbell - the reason for the jackets - playing in the snow. Woo hoo!
