Balancing work and children is difficult. Over the past few weeks the time that I normally spend exclusively with my children has been dedicated to making sure that our annual kickoff went smoothly. Fortunately, it was fun work, and with a theme like “We Rock!” the end result was a load of “toys” to play with. The team let me take home two guitars, some VIP passes and some sunglasses and I brought them all home to Sofi and Natalie as soon as I could. And that’s just the beginning of the fun.
The first thing they did was grab the glasses and then the blow-up guitars. The enthusiasm was amazing and then they were “Rock Stars!” Of course, at one point, with heart shaped glasses on, Natalie informed me that she wasn’t a rock star, but a “Rock Heart!” Too cute for words - and even though they couldn’t hold the guitars too well at first it was loads of fun.
Once they started to get a hang of things they were having more and more fun and started singing both songs they know by heart and songs that they were making up as they went along. As soon as I get the video fixed up I will post it as well, but suffice to say it was amazing and a wonderful time for everyone.
My babies… my rock stars.
