Bill Vaughn has been quoted with the wisdom of saying, “a three-year-old child is a being who gets almost as much fun out of a fifty-six dollar set of swings as it does out of finding a small green worm.” Any parent that has taken their child to the park on a Saturday afternoon knows the truth in this statement, and our weekend showed how wonderful that truth can be.
We took some lunch and a couple hours to visit one of the local neighborhood parks. It’s actually an old school that has been converted to a sort of community center, but the part that the girls appreciated were the swings, play structure, and other children enjoying themself on what turned out to be an absolutely beautiful day. It is very difficult to believe, when sitting through 77 degree days, that we’re still in winter, but the girls and I will take it any day.
