One of the local outdoor malls is Santa Row. It’s about 10 minutes from home and offers the higher-end and manufacturer stores as opposed to Valley Fair - directly across the street - which offers a more traditional mall shopping experience. One of the benefits of being an outdoor mall is the flowers, and on Sundays they offer a somewhat modest farmer’s market. The good thing about their market has to be the freshly made popcorn, which we enjoyed immensely.
On one side of the mall they offer a very small kids play area, which we charged over to, and the girls really enjoyed getting to spend some time playing on the slide and play structure. It’s nice that there’s a Starbuck’s about 20 feet away, too, and Papa was able to enjoy a nice warm drink while the girls played.
We also managed to get in some shopping and the girls now have beautiful flower handles for their bedroom dresser. The coolest piece, though, has to be that they match the door handle, which is also a glass flower. I’m not sure that they really appreciate it, but I think it’s great!
