Watching the news in California is always a treat. And on weekends that show other parts of the counry in blizzrd-like conditions it’s always nice to know that we have the beach. With that in mind, we took the girls for a coastal trip this weekend - with a unique destination in mind; see the next post - and one of the places that we stopped was a small beach just south of Half Moon Bay. It was sunny, in the mid 60s, and when protected by the rocks downright warm.

Every now and again Mama’s school holds some sort of festival or party, and this month they had a Taste of India event that included fun, food, dancing, and activities for the children. It was a raucus good time and the girls had a ball of things. For us, the food was a wee bit spicey, but it had a great flavor and both of us ate our share. We took Babi along and she didn’t eat too much, but had a great time.
Balancing work and children is difficult. Over the past few weeks the time that I normally spend exclusively with my children has been dedicated to making sure that our annual kickoff went smoothly. Fortunately, it was fun work, and with a theme like “We Rock!” the end result was a load of “toys” to play with. The team let me take home two guitars, some VIP passes and some sunglasses and I brought them all home to Sofi and Natalie as soon as I could. And that’s just the beginning of the fun.
