I like that Mama is only working outside the home half-time and more importantly that being a teacher allows her to take some time off over the summer. I’m sure it’s not enough time for either her or the children, but it’s wonderful that they get to play this summer and I can really see in both Sofi and Natalie how much they appreciate getting to spend time with her. Surprisingly, I am rarely jealous that they’re out having fun together and enjoying the weekdays without me.
This June, though, when they took a day and went to Gilroy Gardens I was left feeling a small pang of jealousy. Not that they got to go and I didn’t, but that I wasn’t able to share their excitement when they experienced their first “amusement park.” Everyone seemed to be having so much fun and the twinkle in their eyes, as you can see, is magical. They enjoyed the rides, their friends, and being out in the sun. So lucky - every single one of them - and even though I’m jealous I’m glad that they’re getting this summer with Mama and truly appreciate their happiness.
