The holiday season is here, and I have more than most to be thankful for. So much, in fact, it’s almost impossible to put into words everything that is in my heart and mind. I have a beautiful, loving wife, two daughters that mean more to my very being than any words could ever express, good health, and more of life’s basics (clothing, food and shelter) than any one person deserves. These blessings are with me throughtout the year, and thanks to my daughters the ones that really matter will be with me, in their words, too, “always and forever.”
“Always and forever” are really big words if you think about it. Yet, most of us use them often without thinking about their importance. It took listening to my girls to really hear in their voices what “always and forever” really mean, and then realizing that there is never a moment (always) that passes without me thinking about them and that I will never lose those thoughts (forever). As much as I have been a part of creating them, they are a part of me, and I wouldn’t want it any other way.
As much as I love and adore my children, it’s also important to me to mention my wife. Every day I am thankful to her for being a part of my life, even the days I forget to say it, and every night before going to sleep we say those three important words that have meaning beyond description: “I love you.” I can only hope that she knows that to me those words are “always and forever” and that I am truly thankful for my whole family.
Finally, it’s also important for me to say that I am thankful to my friends – the people in my life that have helped me learn and experience all that life has to offer. I’m sure that I don’t say it enough, but thank you. I will never be able to express what it means to have you as a part of my life.
Finally, Just so you don’t think I’m holding out, there are quite a few more photos from the holiday shoot in the gallery. You can get to them here. A special thanks to CLS Photography (clsphotography@comcast.net) for the outstanding work! Thanks for reading and here’s to all your dreams coming true!
