With such a small readership and so few regular posts, its difficult to imagine that anyone noticed that there haven’t been many posts in the past few months.   Unfortunately, problems with WordPress, the blogging software that I use, and then Gallery, the photo management tools, kept me from posting.  Those problems have been fixed and the site appears to be working better than ever!

A special thanks to the blogosphere for their help getting the WordPress problems fixed and an extra special thank you to consultant engineer Andy Lindeman who was instrumental in resolving the problems with Gallery and WPG2.  The good news is that there are six months of updates coming!

It’s been a very busy month – both with the children and on the site.  There have been a few recent posts and some graphical changes, and today I’m thrilled to announce a few long-overdue features.

• First, the site now includes a guestbook that can be added to through the instant “Leave a Note!” link on the left-side navigation menu.  Try it out – say hello and let us know what you think.
• Next, and probably most requested, the site now allows you to subscribe to the blog.  Subscribers will receive all new (and sorry sometimes infrequent) posts in their email.  Subscription and discontinuation are both very easy, so give it a try!  This can also be found in the left-side menu.
• Finally, I’ve added a ShareThis to the site which will allow readers to share SofiandNatalie.com posts through a variety of social media sites.  The obvious are included – Facebook for mama – and of course Digg, but through the integration of ShareThis some of the less common are there, too, to help anyone that wants to pass on our message.

Look for more posts soon!  The halloween costumes have been selected and we’re getting ready!

Just a friendly intermission – more pictures to follow when it’s been modified.  Towards the end of August we got a new car.  The Volvo’s transmission went out and the estimates were several thousands of dollars.  With 130K miles on the odometer we started thinking this might be throwing good money after bad.  When J. Rockcliff offered to help if I’d consider “wrapping” the car with their logo I said yes without hesitation.  So we got a 2009 Scion XB in black and in the next week or two I’ll post more pictures of the car, the interior and what we’ve done since acquisition to brand it for the J. Rockcliff technical services department.

Needless to say – the size and newness have made it very exciting for Sofi and Natalie and we hope that this will be a great addition to the family.
